Sprinkler systems

Sprinkler water extinguishing systems are the most common type of automatic fire extinguishing equipment, designed to prevent the spread of fire and extinguish fires without human intervention.
The team of engineers, designers, and contractors at Melde Kft has extensive experience in the design, installation, and periodic maintenance of sprinkler systems in accordance with MSZEN12845, NFPA13, FM Global, and other insurance requirements.
Kitchen fire extinguishing systems
(ANSUL R102)
We extinguish kitchen oil and grease fires that cannot be extinguished with water using the ANSUL R102 kitchen fire suppression system, which we design, install, and maintain. The ANSUL R102 kitchen fire suppression system has already proven itself in America, and with the amendment of the OTSZ, more and more such systems are being installed in Hungary.

Water mist extinguishing systems
Tyco – Aquamist water mist extinguishing system
The water mist extinguishing system minimizes two of the three conditions necessary for combustion (oxygen and heat of combustion) during the extinguishing process, while at the same time greatly reducing the third condition, combustible material.
Extinguishing is based on the principle of oxygen depletion (inerting), when water turns into steam, its volume increases 1760 times and displaces oxygen from the combustion chamber, i.e. “isolates” it from the source of fire. Since small droplets evaporate faster than larger ones, extinguishing is extremely fast and effective.
Water mist extinguishing systems were developed for extinguishing fires in the engine rooms of seagoing vessels, but after numerous developments, they can now be used in escalators, office buildings, hotels, and, with certain restrictions, in many other areas.
Foam extinguishing systems
Water and foam extinguishing systems do not differ in terms of their operating principles. However, fires involving materials that cannot be extinguished with water, such as hydrocarbons, alcohols, motor oils, plastics, etc., can be extinguished using special foam-forming extinguishing agents (foam concentrates) developed for this purpose. During use, water is mixed with the foam material flowing out of the tank in the mixer, and the resulting foam solution extinguishes the fire in the form of a spray through the sprinkler heads.

Gas extinguishing systems

Gas extinguishing systems use naturally occurring gases to displace oxygen or chemical extinguishing gases to extinguish fires, automatically initiating the extinguishing process after fire detection. Our company works with the largest manufacturers of gas extinguishing systems and has proven its professional competence in many areas.
